Spring is in the air
The blossom is out, the flowers are beginning to bloom and we have the feeling of Spring. The geraniums and pansies in our window box are a joy to behold. This is a very pleasant time of year and even Rita is enjoying it.

The DTS is going well and we are halfway through the lecture phase (I can’t believe the time is going so quickly) To mark the occasion we had a special meal last Friday. We all dressed up in our best and after a great roast meal prepared by Rita and her team, we had some testimonies from students sharing what God has been doing in their lives. We finished with a short time of worship thanking God for all his goodness thus far. It was a very special evening.

Here are some of the staff and students.

A photo taken during our special meal of both staff and students.

Of course February the 14th was Valentines Day, so we guys thought we would make it special for the girls so we got up early and prepared breakfast for them. We served exotic fruit and croissants and included a card and a chocolate for each one. It was a lot of fun. Here they are enjoying their breakfast.
The DTS is busy for both staff and students. The students have assignments to complete each week including book reports and journaling every day. All this along with the normal activities. Here are two of the students hard at work.
For us on DTS staff, life is no less busy and most weekdays we are busy from morning to night. For Rita and I life is hectic but we are proving the truth of the bible where it says “as your days so will your strength be" This is a busy season but we do make sure we take time out over the weekends to relax and explore the area around us. Here is one of the things that keeps Rita busy.
Here is one of the posters that the Villa uses for advertising. I like it a lot because it sums up the spirit of the of the work here. That 'go for it spirit' The students have stepped out of their comfort zones and all are on a journey into the unknown with God. It is scary and yet exciting for each one, and the eight weeks in NA is going to really strech them. Rita and I will also be involved in this time, Rita for about three weeks and I will be involved for seven out of the eight. For one week we will both be back in Brighton for our churches 'World Week' the middle of May and we really look forward to that.

We will end with a picture of ourselves; are we getting greyer, fading away perhaps, or blossoming. We will leave you to judge.
