The Leages on the move

Well we have finally moved, after umpteen visits to charity shops, the tip and Louise’s and we have the aches and pains to prove it. Last Saturday was the big move day and amazingly we transported everything in cars even the wardrobes!!

Saturday night after the big move, a chance to catch up on emails






We are at Ian and Louise’s at the moment, and waking up after our first night felt quite weird. We were in our bed, with our bedroom furniture, chair and even TV. Actually it has worked out really well with Ian and Louise being able to take most of our furniture.

Tomorrow we head down to Brighton to spend four weeks with my mum and our church and then its back to Liverpool for a few days before heading off on the 3rd September to Spain. We have a growing excitement and it’s been wonderful how God has confirmed again and again the rightness of our move.
We will then get stuck in to the work, Rita on the housekeeping/hospitality side and I will be preparing for a DTS that starts the end of January 2008.

One of the things that have really blessed us is to see how things have dovetailed together and the timing of things.
For example the Y boat the Next Wave leaving Liverpool early September and heading for Malaga. Great transport for our belongings.
A family joining from America the same time as us. The husband worked on the YWAM Brighton team back in 1983. He will work with me on the DTS.
A timely phone call with the leader in Spain where we found there was a phone line into our room with its own number. Our prayer card with contact details on it was already at the printers but we managed to catch them before they started. We will be sending them out during our time in Brighton so you should get one by the end of August.


Last Monday we took Rita’s nephews out for a day, as it will be a while before we next see them. We went to a theme park and guess who had to go on the rides with the boys. You have got it in one. Great fun for six year olds but a bit scary for 60 year olds.
