Canada

Canada was amazing, well to be more accurate being with Tim and Sharon and seeing our first grandchild Eliana was just the best. She is beautiful and here was me thinking all newborns were the same. Already she has brought us such joy. Her name means 'God has answered'. It goes to say we are very proud grandparents as you can see by the picture.

All is going well and she is putting on weight, has a good pair of lungs, as you see from this picture

and is rather bored by all the fuss that is going on around her.

Rita is still in Canada and will find it hard to leave them on Wednesday, particularly as we will not see them again until June when they come over to the UK for a visit. Eliana will be 9 months by that time. It is so good we have Skype and will get to see her develop that way.

I flew in from Canada on the 24th to attend a 'wedding blessing' of some very good friends of ours, Tim and Cathy Hoskins. They both group lead on the DTS earlier this year and it was such a good day and a chance for me to catch up with a number of friends I had not seen in a while.
I have returned to a very busy schedule here at the Villa with planning for the January school, ongoing leadership training with new staff here and the never ending maintenance and repairs around the house.
Christmas is not far away and this year we will be spending it in Liverpool with a very pregnant Louise and Ian with my mum and sister coming up from Brighton. Then in January we have our second grandchild to look forward to.
Well thats all for now
