The faithfulness of God
We are finally back from our ministry trip which included stays in Brighton with my mum both before and after our time in Spain. We were in Spain primarily for the regional conference at the end of June but went early to help with the busy run up period to any conference. It also gave us time to catch up with friends and of course enjoy lots of sunshine. The conference itself was very special with 80 gathered for praise, prayer, teaching, fellowship and lots of good food. It was wonderful to hear the stories of all that God is doing in some of the most challenging circumstance and we loved meeting lots of new people.
Both Rita and I shared devotionals on different mornings. Yes Rita is getting into quite an accomplished speaker. Mmmmmm she says I’m not sure about that.
So we are back in our lovely flat and catching up on admin etc and then on Saturday we head off to Liverpool for a few days. On Sunday I am speaking at a church in Salford, Manchester, which we are really looking forward to. They prayed so much for us when I was in hospital nearly a year ago and I look forward to personally thanking them for their prayers.
In the last 10 days Ian and Louise have been in Canada, Ian at a conference in Toronto to do with work and Louise and the children have been with Sharon in Waterloo. The two older cousins have got on famously and Kadin is now almost walking. Maliha is content to sleep through all the excited noise, though keeping one little eye slightly open to make sure she’s not missing anything.
Health wise I have been pretty good apart from the cough. I will see the specialist again at the end of August when I will have a CT scan. Otherwise we are pressing on, we go to New Wine at the end of the month and have two conferences one on top of the other starting early September. Then we are of to Canada on the 26th September for three weeks.
That the news for now.
Blessings,
Togg on the blog.
From 1981 to 1984 we ran an evangelism team in Brighton. It was a very exciting time with lots happening. On One occasion we felt God say to go to the popular in vogue disco on the seafront called Busby’s and ask if we could perform our drama there one evening. To our amazement the manager said yes and we turned up around 9pm pinching ourselves to make sure this was really happening. Well we waited a long time and then the DJ said clear the floor folks we have something for you that's really different. Boy he could say that again. We performed our drama with the people wondering what had hit them. As soon as we had finished they cranked the music up and the floor filled up with again. We didn’t have any opportunity to talk with the young people, but we left with the knowledge we had brought light into a dark place and knowing the full story of what happened there will only be told in heaven.
