It's raining!!!

It’s raining!! These were the excited words of students when they woke one morning on their 7 day Sahara desert trip, part of their discipleship school. The day before, they had been invited into the tent of a family for tea, literally in the middle of nowhere. They had chatted for a while and showed one or two videos and prayed before leaving. One of the things they prayed for was rain because the family had shared
it had not had rained for 2 years. It was the very next morning they awoke to the patter of rain on canvas. The time in N.A has been an amazing time with God coming through time and time again. The field trip is nearly over and the students return on Saturday ( I have returned a few days early to plan for the last week of the school) and at the moment they are working in an orphanage caring for babies from just a few weeks old up to 7 or 8 years. This school is definitely finishing on a high note and plans are already in hand for next year. We have lots of interest and one completed application form already.

One of the challenges is finding a quite place when you are living 10 to a room. Some will go to almost any lengths to find a place


During the desert trip Rita and I were in Brighton for our churches world week. It was a wonderful time being back with family and friends, although for my mum the Sunday was rather stressful as she had her handbag stolen in church. Mum lost credit cards, driving licence, money and door key. Here she is at a happier event when we met up with my cousin and husband from Australia.

Rita and I are well, busy but fulfilled. The school finishes next Thursday when we have the DTS graduation and things will get a little easier for me but not for Rita. Later this month we have our N.A staff conference here in Torremolinos with about 100 attending. Fortunately it is not being held at the Villa but there will be much coming and going during that time.

After the conference in early July we are meeting up with friends of ours Duncan and Pat Tart who live about 3 hours away and I will speak at a men’s breakfast on the Saturday and then at their church on the Sunday. We really look forward to that visit.

On the 23rd of July we head off to the UK for 5 weeks spending some time in Liverpool and Brighton. It will be a good chance to catch up with people and escape the intense heat of southern Spain. Yippee you can hear Rita saying.
